Race for Life

The Bootcamp Bombshells (Rose Mulligan, Georgie Murphy, Anjali Patel, Claire Thompson, Laura Bowyer, Helen Ward, Sophie Rasmussen, Rachael Satchel, Elizabeth Boudreau, Tessa Lloyd, Angela Cameron) will be running the Race for Life 5km event on Sunday 27th June. Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. Boozecamp

Boozecamp will be on Friday, 21st May from 8pm onwards at the Grand Union. Please feel free to bring your partner and friends and see everyone looking fabulous outside of their training gear!!
 

Tennis

Chiswick Bootcamp’s first tennis tournament is on this Sunday, 16 May at 11am. The entrance fee is £12 (please bring on the day) which will cover the costs of court hire, trophy, food and drinks (including PIMMS). The tournament will be based on the American Tournament rules.
 

Fitness Assessments

Due to the horrible weather over the weekend, I am offering the fitness assessment again this Saturday, 15th May at 8.15am. These fitness assessments are offered every 6 weeks, and are available so you can see how your fitness is progressing. I do recommend you all take advantage of them
 

Scott Cargill's mission

A huge congratulations and well done to Scott Cargill for walking all the way from his mother's house in Liverpool to his home in Chiswick in just 8 days!! He set foot on Saturday, 27th March and arrived back in Chiswick on Easter Sunday. What a stirling effort Scott!! You could still sponsor Scott by visiting www.justgiving.com. All money raised will go will go to the Honey Rose Foundation, which organises special days for terminally-ill people aged 40 years and over
 

Rowland Hill trecks India

Rowland Hill and his mate Scott are, as we speak, travelling the length of India in an inadequate rickshaw all the way up to the Himalayas and they aim to do this within 2 weeks! Feel free to track their progress on www.justgiving.com/drinkandbemerry and while you’re there, I’m sure they’ll appreciate a wee donation…

Bank holidays / Easter holidays

Chiswick Bootcamp will not be running sessions on ALL Bank Holidays. During the Easter period, we will run sessions on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday (9am) but will NOT have sessions on Good Friday and Easter Monday. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
 

Fitness Assessments

The next non-obligatory fitness assessment and/or body measurements will be held on Saturday, 27th March at 8.15am. If you are interested, please reply to this email or send me a text on 07979277692 letting me know. Remember, the purpose of these assessments is to monitor your fitness and to make sure you are getting the fitness results you are looking for. The tests will begin at 8.15am sharp, so please get there 5 minutes earlier.
 

Boozecamp

Our next boozecamp will be on Thursday, 1st April 2010 (Good Friday Eve) from 8pm onwards at The Grand Union (corner of Goldhawk Road and Askew Road). As you can see from the pictures of our first Boozecamp, it is a lot of fun, and a fantastic opportunity to see people out of their training gear. It would be great if you could come along and please feel free to bring your partner and/or your mates.
